Hello Friends!
What a bummer!!! This weather just does not want to play nicely. We have been carefully watching and debating all day and night about whether to open tomorrow, and we have come to the conclusion to postpone opening day to next Sunday, Oct 14th. The weather is just too iffy….
The rain may not start until the afternoon, but we all know how ominous weather affects crowds… and we would rather have a rockin’ clear-weather first market day than a mediocre nasty weather one. Plus, looking out for all of you, it’s a lot of work to pack up your craft, load in… hang out all day just to possibly pack up in a hurry to beat the rain. We would rather have you all use your vendor fee to reschedule a date and join a HodgePodge event that is up and running full steam ahead!
Please look at your calendars for the next 6 Sundays and let me know which date you would like to jump on board with. If you have any comments or questions, please don’t hesitate to call me anytime tomorrow. I will be working with the rest of the HodgePodge team on getting the word out there, planning marketing for this week leading up to our new opening day.
Please help us spread the word in a positive light. We want the first day of HodgePodge to be amazing for both the public AND our vendors… because without all of you.. there is no HodgePodge!
We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you can understand why we have made this decision. We thank you in advance for your willingness to be flexible, and your excitement for this amazing event….for one more week!
Onwards and upwards!
